You can log the activities into a log file. By default, logging is disabled; you can enable logging with the Normal setting. In that case, the log will contain basic information such as opening/closing the file, decryption started/completed, etc. The Debug setting will log more information that may help us locate and fix errors.

 

The log file is stored in the %APPDATA%\Elcomsoft\Password Digger folder.

 

The "Ignore non-password data in XML output" option allows filtering out items that are not passwords. Records containing encryption keys, certificates, authentication tokens, date/time stamps, and some other data such as UUIDs will be excluded from the output. Please note that this option affects XML output only; the data exported into a text file is always filtered.
